Brief Description Detailed Description Specifications KWIK-RELEASE™ DESIGN. Premium rubber construction is ultra durable and water resistant.  Patented design will compress upon impact, like other Hollywood Impact® Bases, but will then disengage if necessary. Two resistance levels available: varsity and youth. Kwik-Release™ Base will be Officially Recommended Base for All Leagues The Schutt Hollywood® Kwik-Release™ base was introduced in 2007 and is the premier disengaging base on the market.  The top layer of the base will detach from the bottom layer if enough force hits it, such as the force from a sliding runner. Medical research has shown that this type of quick-releasing base significantly reduces the risk of ankle, foot and leg injuries.
